Remembering Wayne Shorter

Wayne Shorter, one of the all-time great American composers and saxophonists (who the New York Times called a “jazz hero” whose goal was to “fear nothing”), transitioned this past Thursday in Los Angeles. He was 89. We don’t have words to express what Shorter’s music has meant to us… so here are a few words from much smarter folks, including the master himself, as we mourn this loss and remember the life and work of Elder Shorter.
